That's some legit playing man, good to hear you'll be going on tour, sounds like it'll be fun.

You gotta loosen up those arms though man! You're gonna hurt yourself playing with them locked up like that!

Can't or won't? Either?

Good stuff, I'd personally lose the "Travis Barker" setup, but that's about it.
"We told [TOM] if we were going to record the album separately, in different studios, our band was ceasing to be a BAND. The magic in the studio is created when the three of us are there TOGETHER, working on parts, discussing, sometimes arguing, all pushing the album forward. Trying to frankenstein a cd together by mailing each other pro tools files to work on in our own private studios was ridiculous. It would lessen the entire album. It would be a terrible cd"...............Mark Hoppus.

hey thanks guys.

a couple things:

sounds funny but i honestly don't know how to loosen up haha. i have pretty much always played that way and have tried to just play with as much energy as possible, and always end up playing the same way. if i relax then i feel more bored and not on top of it i guess. idk how to explain it really.

and with the "travis barker" setup...theres no getting around that that's what it is....and though i was influenced by multiple drummers when i started drumming, he probably was the biggest influence and so i obviously just modeled my setup after his...and that's what has felt most comfortable to me since then. i probably will switch it up sometime soon but for now that still is the most comfortable and playable...until i find something more unique that fits me better. i appreciate your compliments and critiques though

Don't worry about the Travis Barker set up man, he had to get inspiration on how he wanted his set up, more than likely it stemmed from a jazz influence. The 4 piece with 2 crashes, ride, and hats has been along much longer than Travis.

I would consider myself a very "loosened up" player. From my experience, this has stemmed from taking influences from Ronnie Vannucci Jr of the killers. I set my set up like his because his cymbals were so low, and I wanted to prevent breaking mine by having that up high. That lead to liking their music - and then playing along with it is what made me a more relaxed and fluent drummer.

If you have any interest in the band,I'd suggest getting a couple of their tracks to play along to, it just may do you a world of good.

Also, what kind of kit is that? It sounds great. I'm headed home this morning for break - can't wait to sit behind my kit again, just may have to think about doing a video as well.

Can't or won't? Either?
