Yeah I'm going to go with this. I think in all the excitement of starting the band up a few years ago, Tom just got caught up in it and announced the movie without having any concrete plans or realizing what an enormous task it really is. Then, when some pieces did come together, it was a mess and needed to be reworked over and again. And here we are.

I don't think this movie is solely intended for AVA/Blink fans... That was obviously the intention at the start (to make a companion piece to an album)... but the band themselves have said the movie has outgrown them and will probably be bigger than the band.

If a major studio does take this up, it won't matter what a bunch of people on a Blink forum think about it being delayed for so long... a lot of people that see it will have not even heard of AVA.

When Tom announced the band, the movie he was talking about was the CGI stuff that ended up on the STM documentary.

This movie was started the summer before I-Empire... which is when Tom found the director.

I just don't see the Love film actually paying for itself.

There is no way they are going to make back what they put into it.

I want to see it, but I don't know 1 other person who does. They are going to have to market it hardcore.

they didnt spend THAT much making it. im sure the money they get if they get the film distributed and the dvd sales will be enough.

At the AVA meet and greet in Dallas he told everyone that they financed the Love album with the money from meet and greets.

That's not a bad idea. They probably made $8000 a show from that.

I know they were in debt with that too. It wasn't as bad though.
