"We told [TOM] if we were going to record the album separately, in different studios, our band was ceasing to be a BAND. The magic in the studio is created when the three of us are there TOGETHER, working on parts, discussing, sometimes arguing, all pushing the album forward. Trying to frankenstein a cd together by mailing each other pro tools files to work on in our own private studios was ridiculous. It would lessen the entire album. It would be a terrible cd"...............Mark Hoppus.

Boxcar Racer, so simple. Yet super effective. Mellow verse, loud chorus and intros. Loved it

And the result was much 'epic' that AvA ever will go.

BCR was amazing, it is what Blink should have become, just with Mark, and a few light hearted songs.

Somewhere along the way there was a detour. AVA sucks, Plus 44 was, just ok. Blink? Well we aren't sure. We have no clue what Blink sounds like cause despite being back together for a year a half, we haven't heard Blink in 7 years.

What a waste of musical talent.

This is when you know your band is shit. When you play things they are complete opposite from what you do now and people actually get into it and care. If you take a look and see what was going on before the drum broke everyone was just standing there.

I don't know man. I saw AVA in Dallas on the 20th. The crowd surfacing was insane.

I thought it would be a dull concert. Best concert I've ever been to, hands down. I've seen over 100 concerts easy. That says alot.

Toms energy that night was off the charts. He put everything he had into it. I think that's why the crowd was so excited.

I thought AVA fans would be boring. It was the exact opposite.

You have to take into consideration that everyone is going to be super excited to get to hear a Box Car Racer song. It was unexpected, so that's ptobAbly the normal reaction.

Nice video, he did sound pretty good throughout.

This is still one of my favorite youtube videos ever:

That was good...  Tom sings so well when he does acoustic...maybe because he's sitting down?

But I've never seen that video before. Love it! =]
I only do this until I get dizzy & then I lay down on my back & watch the clouds, he said. It sounds simple but you won't believe how many people forget the second part.
