Boxcar Racer, so simple. Yet super effective. Mellow verse, loud chorus and intros. Loved it

BCR was amazing, it is what Blink should have become, just with Mark, and a few light hearted songs.

Somewhere along the way there was a detour. AVA sucks, Plus 44 was, just ok. Blink? Well we aren't sure. We have no clue what Blink sounds like cause despite being back together for a year a half, we haven't heard Blink in 7 years.

What a waste of musical talent.
but Blink kinda did become it right? Self-titled??

Basically S/T is a even blend of Blink and BCR imo.  (ex. feeling this, asthenia.)

Asthenia in specific reminds me of a mix of elevator and a blink song.

Well i guess elevator would techniqually be a blink song.

Fuck i dont know

Box Car is easily my favorite out of the three main blink offspring bands (AVA, +44, BCR). Heck, I even like Box Car more than a lot of blink stuff. I'd love for them to come back. I asked David about it on a Modcam once and he said it wouldn't happen. I hope they continue to play Box Car songs at AVA shows at least. I mean, they aren't doing it this tour other than this one instance, but I hope they keep doing it in the future. Kinda doubt they will though as they now have a good amount of their own material...

According to Tom, AVA is what BCR would have become.

So, so lame. I'm a huge AVA fan, but saying BCR would become AVA is just ignorant. BCR is completely different and amazing in its own right compared to.

Now I think the question real is do they have musical talent without jerry finn?? For the most part LOVE was recycled melodies and have you heard any of the songs mark has been a part of the past couple years??? Nothin special, that's for sure.

I think its more of a fact that Mark and Tom compliment each others writing style which allows them to write killer songs, there was no Finn for the likes of Dude Ranch and that had some incredible songs. I think if anything their time apart has allowed them to develop as writers and take stock as people, meaning that they will come back into a fresh environment and have tonnes of new ideas buzzing about, Tom wrote AVA songs, Mark wrote +44...in Blink one of them comes up with the general concept and then they co-write.

Wishful thinking maybe? but I gotta believe it for the sake of Blink, they haven't let me down yet on an album so I don't see why they will now.
