Year is half over, it's time to put together your favorite albums of the year so far. This time I thought we should try a different format. We will still post the album art name and an optional brief description. But try and add a youtube video for your fav song off the album you posted. It'd help get the word out there about some of these albums.

7.
Story Of The Year - The Constant
To the Burial

6.
Of Mice & Men - S/T
(Austin is one of my favorite screamers. I'm upset he's not with the band anymore, but this album is fan-fucking tastic. It's a heavier Attack Attack! except not shitty and the clean vocalist is actually good.)
Second and Sebring

5.
From First To Last - Throne To The Wolves
(This album blew me away. I couldn't believe this followed their previous effort which was more radio friendly and poppy. Great album.)
Cashing Out

4.
Against ME! - White Crosses
(This album took a couple listens, but I realized how much it was a matured sound for the band and like The Replacements. So fucking good.)
White Crosses

3.
Motion City Soundtrack - My Dinosaur Life
Pulp Fiction

2.
Four Year Strong - Enemy of The World
On A Saturday

1.
The Wonder Years - The Upsides
Logan Circle

The Gaslight Anthem - American Slang
I've been looking forward to this since 59 sound, and I was not disappointed. Surpassed all my expectations.
(My favorite is Stay Lucky, but I couldn't find it on youtube)

Tokyo Police Club - Champ
Awesome band, awesome cd

Agreed, at first I was a tiny bit disappointed but now I'm in love with it.  My favourite songs are Orphans and the Spirit of Jazz, but I love Stay Lucky too (pays homage to Stay Free by the Clash) and We Did It When We Were Young.

So Far:

Shame it leaked so early, for them not me because this album is so solid.
Nice follow up to the 59 Sound even though it hasnt surpased it.

At first i was little disapointed with this album but after time it has grown on me and i absolutely love it.
Much more pop oriented than the first but it still has some blinders like "Trophy Eyes".

Released at the wrong time of the year for me, been saving it for now really.

^^^ Unfortunatly not one of those lived up to previous efforts :/

Overplayed the first 3 or so tracks but the rest is still solid.
I liked EIIKM but i much prefer this.

Looking forward to:

KELE
Blink?
Sum 41

I have only heard 4 or 5 new albums this year.

Motion City Soundtrack and Gaslight Anthem definitely lived up to my expectations.
MGMT dropped the ball, they had such a solid poppy sound and then went all non conformist on our asses.
Angles and Airwaves put out a decent album.  There's 2 or 3 songs that I still listen to weekly, but it's nothing special.
Vampire Weekend's was a little disappointing, but it was still enjoyable.

I look forward to the new albums from JEW, Iron Maiden, Blink (unlikely), and I'm sure there are other albums that will come out that I'll love.

To me:

- Alkaline Trio: This Addiction.
- The Gaslight Anthem: American Slang.
- Four Year Strong: Enemy Of The World (And I wasn't expecting nothing. It surprised me)
- Motion City Soundtrack: My Dinosaur Life

I haven't listened yet to the Against Me! record. But for what I've been reading, I think I'll like it a lot.

Also, I'm waiting for the Demos album from Mr. Skiba, for the new Bad Religion record, and the new Offspring one. I don't count on blink until eraly 2011.

Circa's new album is amazing. Best of their career perhaps.

So far my top 2 albums of the year are:

Demon Hunter - The World is a Thorn

By far their heaviest album so far.

Bullet for My Valentine - Fever

It took some time but it's starting to grow on me

But what I'm really waiting for is Parkway Drives new album due out the end of June:

I forgot (along with plenty of people) to mention Plastic Beach by the Gorillaz.
That was a pretty solid album.  Probably in my top 5 of 2010.
