Haha, that's a perfect way of putting it.

I don't think Modlife's a failure...I really liked having it, especially around the time of the shows when you could watch the soundchecks and get in early.  I do wish Tom and the guys would do more blogs and cams but there's been periods of time in the past year where they've gone on a bunch.  And David will actually mail you back, which is exciting.  I'm not going to say it's the best thing in the world and that they put as much on the website as they potentially could, but I enjoy it and think it's worth the $7/month at this point.

And...even if you disagree with Fla you don't have to be dicks about it! She's just bringing the other perspective

I only do this until I get dizzy & then I lay down on my back & watch the clouds, he said. It sounds simple but you won't believe how many people forget the second part.

Is that Love Like Rockets remix (at the end of the video) available anywhere?

Nope, I asked Tom on modlife once what was up with the remixes. Apparently he said they scratched them and were completely redoing them (this was before Love, mind you, so don't get your hopes up) because he didn't like the end result and they apparently had something better going with LLR and as well a remix for Secret Crowds. He also played a clip of the "new" LLR, and I have to admit it sounded pretty cool, but I guess they never got around to finalizing it which is a real drag. Seriously, so many broken promises with this group.

-No live "broadcasted" shows
-No remixes
-No "live" albums/rock/punk-oriented album
-No real "exclusive" content given to fans besides blog updates
-No "book"
-All dates fabricated and set back completely
-No "backstage tours" during Meet & Greet and no "choice of shirt"
-No new content "everyday"

List goes on...

Tom should just forget AVA, I know its been said before but most people except the die hard AVA fans weren't too impressed with Love, people are sick of these broken promises so its even turning some fans off and the re-emergence of Blink, surely after the sell out US dates and coming and playing the likes of Reading to 90,000 people and Leeds to 85,000 is enough to tell them how relevant Blink still are, release a new good album and they will be fucking HUGE, AVA simply can't compete.

Tom is probably to proud and has invested so much time and money into this, so I very much doubt he will which is a shame.

No live DVD either. I was actually really excited for that, assuming they would have fixed everything up in the studio to make it all sound really good (Tom's voice...).

Man, AvA and all related stuff should be making so much money for Tom, enough to keep it running it because at this point it's pretty clear how big this fail is.

there's no need too much money to run a website like modlife... it was programmed and designed once for a few thousand dollars (note: it contains a lot of prefabricated elements)... plus a bit more for further development... anyone can rent a really good host (a dedicated server) with "unlimited" disk space and bandwidth for 150-200 dollars per month. (although the bigger/most watched videos are stored on vimeo. a vimeo plus account costs 60 dollars a year.) if they spent more than 5000 dollars on modlife, they'd been spoofed by the programmers...

Does anyone remember when Tom said he was working with NASA and implementing them in the AVA concerts somehow. Lol...

If you consider AVA as a sideproject its a pretty amazing thing, considered as a real band tho, kind of a joke  :|

At this point I think AvA changes the status from 'main mega project' into 'side landscaping project'.
