What's wrong with your current strat? I'm handy with a soldering iron and could probably fix it for cheaper than a shop if you're in the area.

neck pickup is either broken or the wiring is just not working, combined with the fact that its not staying attached to the pick guard. not sure how this happened cause i never am rough with my guitars

$40? my guitar shop charges like 15/20 for rewiring.
