I saw him in July, he's such an ass [talked for a good fifteen minutes about how "surprised" he is that his new songs are so unbelievably successful] but he was such a good performer, even from a lawn seat.  He came up to the lawn for the encore, which I missed, but that's pretty real of him as well.

he wants to let it out on guitar again on his new album.  Another Continuum would be amazing.
and yeah he is an arrogant guy-but he is 32 and knows not only is he as close to fully understanding the guitar as anyone out there, but he can also write great pop songs.

playing a Sinatra song he has such a good grasp of the guitar

Wasn't a huge fan of Battle Studies, but Heartbreak Warfare and Crossroads got me hooked to that album.

Love him. People have to get over his personality seeming like he's an ass or he's cocky or whatever. In my opinion it's gotta take a certain amount of attitude to be able to be as good as he is.

Yeahh, I feel like he absolutely has to be joking half the time.  Which would make him a very fucking funny guy.

dude his interpretation of crossroads sucks.  I wish he would have just recorded it the way he played with Clapton.

The album version was just as sick. The dual vocals makes it awesome.

Gravity is still my all time favorite song though, especially the live version in LA. I love the lyrics cause they're not about a specific event or anything, everyone can find a way to relate to it and it can have a different meaning for you depending how you're feeling.
