how much for the jazz bass?  I have one, but it'd be sweet to have a back up bass.

Haha, good man. Manufacturing these instruments has left me with very little time to go out and have a.... social life (best way I can phrase it while keeping it PG), so my life has been lacking an 18+ section for months.

No worries, I did a tour through Nevada awhile back, so I had enough of that to hold me over til I get the next shipment of instrumets out at least, haha. And absolutely, I love that guitar. It's more show than substance, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thought about assembling some for sale, but the production cost is too high to turn a profit off of them. Here are the only shots I can find of it online right now, I'll see if I have any closer ones saved on my comptuer later.

I would just CNC the body out of a block of lucite, for a single piece block it'd probably be somewhere well over 100 (can't find any to meet that size, but half the size is $60, so a really rough guestimate). Though my mill is usually only used for hardware so I doubt it has the throw to be able to do the whole body, leaving the rest up to me and template routing most likely. All in all I'd probably make and sell a body alone (assuming I was able to) for around 250 depending on how much hands on work/time is required. Not sure on what feed speeds and rotary RPMs are required to keep it from cracking while being machined, but I'm sure it shouldn't be too difficult.

And the neck is birdseye maple, beautiful figuring for not much more than the cost of a standard maple neck.

250 for the body wouldn't be too bad. I would be down for paying that eventually, since I could do everything else once I got the body.
