any positive news?
« on: November 09, 2006, 06:25:31 PM »
alright, i know we all come in this section to tell our problems and look for advice on certain things. we all help out and throw in a few suggestions. but this topic i want to see what is going right for you instead of all the negative things. i mean come on, there has got to be something going right in your life right now.
something you are happy about. If so, what is it?

things are finally looking up for me, i'm feeling better than i was a week, 2 weeks, even a month ago.
life is shitty. but i am slowly finding out it gets better if you don't worry about your problems.
anyway, yeah.

My Mum is actually out of hospital (well, she came out like a week ago). She had a mild heart attack. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks.

She feels much better now.

Well you know....things have been quite amazing for me for a few months now.

My (4 Members of AOF And I) Ska-Punk Band is doing good, with them touring now, I've written alot of songs, and I can't wait to get back to record with them and play some shows before they leave on tour again.

I've been able to find myself a new love and it feels quite amazing...she just understands me quite well...which is good, and she supports me with my decisons.

It may be November but it's been sunny and in the high 70's, low 80's for about a week now...the perfect surfing and skating weather.

I've worked from home ALOT now, which has allowed me to feel young again.  I mean I do my work, and then...bam...time to just relax..surf...eat at in and out...etc.

I wake up...finally realizing I've acomplished something in my life...I've got my friends, I've got loving family, It's just amazing.  22 years old, all done with school, living in a great town, with great friends, Paradise 8).

The ONLY thing I hate about my life now is I miss my Grandma so fucking much.  At least once a week I stop by her and my Grandpa's grave and miss them so badly.  I mss those days of coming home from HS and there would be my Grandma waiting to hear about my day, or anything really...she was a great mom to me...fuck...she was teh shit.

Life is actually going really well for me right now, other than the fact I can't get the girl I want. I'm doing really well in school, having fun, playing in a new band that's sounding really good so far...

Life would be just about perfect if I had the girl I want. But oh well, hopefully that'll come with time.

All somersaults through so-called art
And I still don't know exactly who I am
I never will, amen.

* I finally got the girl I'd longed for after a good 6 months or so. Things are really great atm. Just having somebody in your arms and knowing they feel safe and whatnot with you, that's an amazing feeling.

* School is out...like, forever. Just finished my senior year, and with only the odd assignment or two due in the next couple of weeks, I have a lot of free time, which is great. I get to spend more time with my girl (even though she's still at school), get more hours at work, and spend some more time on the...

*...Band, which is really starting to pick up. It's the school covers band turned originals band. We've got one song down live, which is going to be pro-recorded thanks to some funding from the school, and then I have more material which we will be jamming on, and then recording, over the summer. Ideally, we'd be out doing a few gigs here and there by early '07. Things are looking good here.

*On top of my work at the Cinemas, which is pretty fun, and pays reasonably well, I've just got a job with a photography company. I'll be taking photos at formals, deb balls, and other functions. This pays MIGHTY FINE, especially for somebody my age, so I really can't wait to get into this!

I'll add some more if I think of them...Fuck, life is really rocking! This thread is good

www.myspace.com/littlechaosband

if you're curious. add us if you want.

its always been slow for the band. all the works always put on me but i'm seeing it as a good thing now because i know how i want things to sound and i know i can make a great song like i have before.

now all we need is a singer

this is a fantastic idea...  whoo hoo for being positive!

let's see, i'm finally making a lot of new friends after being away for three years, which is great.  i'm so fucking relieved to be back in the states.  i was so incredibly unhappy in japan.

my grades aren't all that horrible... they'd be better if the virginia grading scale wasn't so fucked up.

and i'm getting a lot more sleep.  hooray for the madness!

well, after about a month of not so good weekends and getting dumped,
last night was amazing for me and my friends.
i realized that life IS beautiful. and i truly love the people i was with yesterday.
and things are looking up between me and the ex.
who knows maybe its not.
but at least, i'm happy.
