I'm just going to list people that piss me off.
-People that talk about the economy in an incredibly vague way and cite it as a source for all society's problems. I can't count the number of times I will be talking about a social issue and then the person will respond with "Yeah well with this economy..." or "this recession..." and they usually don't even finish their sentence. It's like, hey let's drop the word economy in a totally vague and pointless manner and hope it contributes or reflects what the conversation is about.
-People that prefer aesthetic value over functionality/price; unless it's clothes or something practical that makes sense.
-People that don't believe they are accountable for their own actions. Examples would include someone speeding, hitting another car, and blaming it on them because one of their tail lights was out or some irrational excuse like that. Or a kid missing a class and blaming it on something completely irrelevant because they know they fucked up. They wack wesponsibility.
-People that cannot form their own opinions and who are easily influenced/manipulated. Usually when discussing sports, this annoys me the most. "Hey I heard that so-and-so is getting traded for [insert player/draft pick]" when they just heard it from an unreliable source in the media. These are probably the same people that take Fox News seriously.
-People that are in complete denial with who they actually are. First example that comes to mind is someone so stupid they think they are smart. They live in complete denial and ignorance that they are unintelligent, but I guess it would be the best way to live your life if you were dumb as a post.
-People that jump the bandwagon or are only interested in what is currently popular. I get customers who buy iPhones and don't even understand what WiFi or a data plan is. I usually try and sell them a shitty flip phones because they don't even need an iPhone, they just want one because their friends got one. Sports is another example, it's such garbage when someone instantly becomes a fan of a team as soon as the playoffs begin or a team does something miraculous. I'm not bashing the expansion of fan bases because it helps fund the team, I'm just annoyed at the uneducated 'fans' who speak to you as if they know everything about a team. Especially when you talk to fans of an opposing team and they try and rub in a win over your team, then you ask them a basic question about their team that they can't answer so you end up answering it for them.
Usually they only follow trends so they feel popular and important. My sister immediately comes to mind. She used to like Blink and pop-punk/ska in the 90s. But that was just because it was hugely popular. She then went to rap (right around when The Chronic was released) and now house/electro. Anyone who has a decent understanding of music history relating to our culture knows that each of these genres was madly popular for a set period of time. I'm sure she would have loved grunge if she listened to music in the early 90s. Oh, and one time I was listening to Less Than Jake and she told me how she used to listen to them but now they are 'old'. I did not know time had an impact on the quality of music, I guess I should delete all my Beatles songs.
