Double pedals are great if used tastefully, listen to Bad Religion play Atomic Garden or Sinister Rouge with Brooks Wackerman.

Honestly, I don't understand it. I mean yeah he is a great drummer but why is he the idol of so many drummers. I seriosuly think there are so many better drummers out there that he doesnt really deserve the credit he gets as compared to some of the other talented drummers out there. I am a guitarist and I meet a lot of drummers and I jam with a lot of people and for some reason they all share one thing in common, they all want to be travis barker's boy friend. because people think he looks cool...plus alot of people who like music in the blink/pop punk/emo scene are pretty dillusional and biased..  Like all the people on this board who have tried to tell me Pete Wentz is one of the greatest song writers ever, this and that.  For most kids who like music in this scene unfortunately looks are the most important thing to them.  e.g. kids on this board who are so obsessed with Toms hair and clothes.  Also, alot of Travis Barker fans arent even drummers and dont have the slightest clue what a good drummer is.

Yeah there are guys out there like Dave Weckl and Vinne Colaiuta, but most people on the street don't even know who those guys are.  I realize that their skill level and musicality is TBX10, but 20 years from now they won't have impacted people in the same way.  Travis doesn't do anything hard, but if you tell me he's not creative, then i'll have to disagree.
